We provide post-overhaul quality control and performance reporting solutions for construction machinery, tractor and non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) engines. Measurement infrastructure compliant with emission stages such as Stage V and Tier 4 can be established.
From turbine, turboprop, turboshaft and piston engines to landing gear and gearbox testing, we design and manufacture test systems specific to the aerospace and defense industry. Reporting is provided under certified, repeatable laboratory conditions.
We produce training sets and R&D engine test rigs for universities and research institutions. Variable compression ratio (VCR) single-cylinder engine sets are suited to alternative fuel and combustion chamber research.
In the automotive key industry, testing is mostly for pre-production verification and regulatory compliance. Repeatability and international acceptance of the report are decisive; emission regulations (EURO, EPA) and homologation processes directly shape the measurement chain of the test cell. Because the number of engines tested is high, the level of automation and the cell cycle time become critical.
On the construction machinery and tractor side (Off-Road / NRMM) the picture changes. Engines are longer-lived, duty cycles heavier and exposed to dusty, hot field conditions. In this segment post-overhaul quality control and long-duration durability testing come to the fore; PTO test applications and mechanical design resilient to harsh conditions are required.
In aerospace and defense, traceability and certification are decisive. The high speed range of turbine engines requires dedicated coupling and reduction solutions; in landing gear, gearbox and rim testing, multi-axis force measurement and impact loads come into play. In such projects the test rig is often designed specifically for a single product and is not a series item.
In university and research laboratories the aim is not production verification but teaching and scientific research. Here the visibility and clarity of instruments, the ability to change the compression ratio without stopping single-cylinder VCR engines, alternative fuel trials and combustion chamber analysis come to the fore.
Sourcing critical test infrastructure from abroad is not only a cost issue but one of time and dependency. Spare part lead times, the need to bring in service teams from abroad and the inability to access software source code all extend facility downtime. Domestic manufacturing eliminates all these risks: service is in the same country, spare parts are in stock, and software changes are in the hands of our own team.
Legacy dynamometers at defense industry overhaul plants and universities are modernized with modern control units and returned to service. While low-quality legacy technology is retired, the life of the existing mechanical structure is extended. This approach is often more sensible than new investment in terms of both budget and sustainability.
