Our Istanbul-based team engineers every part of the facility in-house — from the dynamometer to the control software, from conditioners to measurement units. We run each project as the single responsible party, from needs analysis to commissioning, calibration and after-sales support, and deliver ready to run worldwide.

We specialize in test systems for engines, electric motors, gearboxes, transmissions and every powertrain assembly. With hydraulic water-brake, eddy-current and AC (active) dynamometers we cover 0.1 Hp to 20,000 Hp and up to 60,000 rpm — for R&D, durability, quality, certification and end-of-line testing. Our in-house TRex control and reporting platform delivers full automation, continuous limit monitoring, comparable reports and third-party integration. We serve global R&D and manufacturing partners with single-source responsibility.
Since 1989 we have focused solely on test systems, manufacturing with 96%+ local content. From the dynamometer to the control software, from conditioners to measurement units, we design and manufacture every part of the test facility ourselves. The project therefore runs under a single responsibility; interface problems, responsibility gaps and supply delays disappear.
GT General Test is an engineering company that builds facilities performing load-performance tests on rotating machinery under traceable, repeatable laboratory conditions, and manufactures all the equipment used in those facilities. Dynamometer, control unit, conditioner, measuring instrument, mechanical system and software — all are our own design and our own manufacture.
Our founders have been engaged solely in the test systems business since 1989. The experience accumulated between 1989 and 2007 through representation and integration work was converted into domestic manufacturing in response to demand from the sector. Today we hold the experience of nearly 200 test facilities across Türkiye and neighbouring countries and the capacity for more than 20 turnkey projects per year.
Our customers include the automotive key industry, construction machinery, aerospace, the defense industry, universities and research institutions. Establishing emission, NVH and R&D test cells and providing the test infrastructure that answers product development, certification, validation and homologation processes are among our leading activities.
Our product portfolio covers more than 300 test equipment items and at least five new products are added each year. On the dynamometer side we manufacture all types — hydraulic water-brake, eddy-current and AC active — from 0.1 horsepower to 20,000 horsepower, 200,000 Nm torque and up to 60,000 rpm. High-capacity dynamometers in the 20,000 Hp class for marine applications are also in our portfolio.
On the control side there is our own TRex platform; on the measurement side gravimetric and Coriolis fuel consumption units, air and oil consumption measurement, blow-by measurement, combustion chamber pressure analysis and exhaust gas analysis integration. On the conditioning side, temperature, pressure, flow and humidity control is provided for engine water, fuel, oil and intake air; cooling towers and water cooling systems are also our manufacture.
On the mechanical side we produce the concrete main block, main and auxiliary frames, vibration isolation, engine feet and trolleys, gearbox stands, flexible couplings, quick-coupling adapters and custom intake air ducts. On the actuator side there are the throttle robot, exhaust back-pressure, intake-air flap, gear-shift and clutch actuators. No part of the test facility is therefore left to an external supplier.
Our customers include automotive OEMs and suppliers, construction machinery and tractor manufacturers, defense industry institutions and overhaul plants, aerospace companies, universities and research organizations, and independent test centres. Each customer group has different test needs, so instead of a standard package we offer solutions configured to the requirement.
We work with organizations wishing to build a new test facility, modernize an existing test cell, add a single measurement unit, or simply purchase testing services. Whatever the size of the project the approach is the same: first understanding the need correctly, then implementing the technically correct and budget-appropriate solution under single responsibility.
